How to Play
 
Deal out 5 cards to each player. The rest makes up the pick. The "box of sardines" cards are hidden face down in the pile in the middle of the players. Without looking, players place each one of their 5 cards in a line in front of them, face down. You turn down one "box of sardines" card. The players observe the sardines for a few seconds in the box to memorize them.
When everyone is ready the box of sardines is turned over again, and the players turn over their 5 cards. The players place in front of them the "sardine" cards which they think they have seen on the "box of sardines" card (if they have 2 identical cards, only one is placed down).
When everyone has finished, check (by putting the big card down): - the sardines are actually in the box: the players keep them. They form the pack of "cards" gained. These must be counted at the end. - the sardines are not in the box: the player who makes a mistake returns 2 "cards" won for each error (unless he did not win any cards). These cards are put aside. Then the cards are hidden again.
The players take as many cards as necessary from the pick to have 5 in front of them, without looking at them.
A new box of sardines is placed, in the middle, and so on, until there are no more cards in the pick. Play without dealing out the cards again.
The game ends when one of the players has no more cards. Each player counts his/her cards gained.
Who wins?
The player with the most wins the game.

    Description

    A fun game of observation and memory for both kids and adults.

    Djeco's Sardines is a beautifully illustrated, fun card game. Each card represents 7 sardines in a tin, all dressed differently. The players have a few seconds to memorize the sardines before the card is turned down. The 5 cards placed in front of the player are then turned over. If the player recognizes some sardines dressed in the same way as the one in his box, they win the card. The player with the most cards wins.
